We're just back from a weekend away at Calpe, a town about two hours North of Cartagena, where we have anchored off the shore a few times on our way to or from the Balearic Islands. We always said we should see what it was like, but never managed to get ashore.
We had promised ourselves a night in a hotel with a bath before Iain went back to school. When you live on board a boat and only have a shower, the desire for a long hot soak sometimes overwhelms.
So we combined the two and we had a great weekend in an excellent hotel, staying in a beautiful room and relaxing in a red hot bath.
Of course I took my music with me, as I find a change of environment stimulating.
I have been studying chord stacks recently on Chordify, the chords used in some of our great classical works are inspiring me to create another orchestral piece. I recently produced 'Neptune' a moody and mysterious experimental track, I think another planet may be in the making....
