It is almost impossible for the average composer/producer to get his music out there onto the listening platforms, there are lots of them, and the legalities involved in publishing are many and complex. The easiest solution is to use a distribution agent who deals with the technicalities on a large scale, distributes the work of many artists and leaves us free to concentrate on actually making music.
I use such a distribution agent and it does usually make it simple for me. I have one process, one connection point, I can upload my work and within 24 hours it is live and available for streaming.
However this week we've had a glitch, I have had my album stuck in the ether somewhere. It got to the agent nearly a week ago and the process stopped, individual tracks from it appeared, but the album itself didn't.
Thankfully, he has kicked a box somewhere and today I have finally been notified that it has been successfully distributed. So, for your listening pleasure, I can now present 'Atomic', a collection of 8 electronic dance tracks. Enjoy!
